How Buy it now works
Buy it now is optional and set per item, so your auction can include some items with a Buy it now price and some without. When you add a Buy it now price to an item, donors will see a Buy it now button alongside the normal bid button. When a donor clicks Buy it now, they'll land on a checkout page and pay by card. The item is immediately marked as sold and bidding on that item closes. The donor receives a receipt email with a link to the Fulfillment Center, and your organization can fulfill the sale right away without waiting for the auction to close.
Please Note: Buy it now is available for online auctions only. It's not available for live auctions.
How to add Buy it now to an existing auction item
Follow these steps to add a Buy it now price to an item already in your online auction:
From your dashboard, head to the auction you'd like to update and click Manage.
Click Items in the left sidebar, then choose the item you'd like to add Buy it now to.
On the item's Settings tab, enter an amount in the Buy it now price field.
Click Save. Donors will now see a Buy it now button on this item's page.
How to add Buy it now to a new auction item
Follow these steps to include a Buy it now price when creating a new auction item:
From your auction, click Items in the left sidebar, then click New item in the upper right corner.
Add your item's details, like the title, descriptions, estimated value, and starting bid.
Enter an amount in the Buy it now price field.
Click Save & continue to images to add your item's images and finish creating your auction item.
How to see if an item has sold and handle fulfillment
Once an auction item has been sold at the Buy it now price it will automatically appear as Sold on the auction page.
You will see a record of the transaction on the Payments page of your auction.
