Tax receipt example
You can now send end-of-year tax receipts through BetterWorld! You can customize the email content and add a personal thank you message to the PDF. Below is an example of the PDF tax receipt:
How to customize the tax receipt
1. From your dashboard, click on Donor Management in the left sidebar.
2. Next, click Tax receipts.
3. Then, click Settings along the top bar.
4. Click the Email Content box and add your message. Once added click Save. If you'd like to preview the email you can click the Send yourself a test button.
5. Lastly, scroll down to the PDF settings section. Here you can enter a thank you message for the pdf receipt. Once added click Save. If you'd like to preview an example of the PDF, click Preview PDF.
How to send tax receipts
1. From your dashboard, click on Donor Management in the left sidebar.
2. Next, click Tax receipts.
3. On the tax receipt page, you can first select the tax year you'd like to send receipts for from the dropdown menu. Below you will see a list of all donors' names, emails, date their tax receipt was sent, date of last transaction, total amount donated and number of contributions.
4. You can click the three dots under the action column and then Download PDF, if you'd like to sent the file to the donor directly.
5. To send tax receipts via email, select the donors from the list by checking the box next to their name, then click Send selected. Or send a receipt to all donors with a click of a button by selecting Send to all.
Done! Your donors will now receive an email with their tax receipt.
