How to remove or refund an offline donation

Account admins can remove offline donations from the payments page in their dashboard

BetterWorld account admins can add and remove offline donations the same way online donations are refunded! Offline donations are contributions that are manually recorded rather than processed through the platform's online payment system. These entries can be deleted in the Payments & Payouts section of the dashboard, where each transaction is labeled with its payment method.

1. Click on your logo in the upper right corner, and select Payments & Payouts.

2. Click on Payments Received.

3. Click the three dots next to the name of the donor whose donation you'd like to refund/remove. Select Mark as refunded.

​Please note, you can confirm whether a donation was made offline before deleting it by checking the "Payment Method" column.

Refunding an offline donation in BetterWorld does not trigger an email notification to the donor or ticket holder. This is because the refund process only removes the internal record of the transaction and does not involve any external communication.
