We see successful auctions of all lengths, but our standard suggestion is between 10 days and two weeks. It really depends on your preference.
We'd recommend starting the bidding low and leaving enough time to get the word out. This results in the maximum number of people participating in the auction, and the most competition engagement, and - ultimately - funds raised.
That said, we'd caution against most organizations running an auction that is several months long, as it can lead to reduced excitement and engagement.
