How to make and pay for a pledge using paddle raise

Learn how to make and fulfill a pledge from your phone with step-by-step guidance for paddle raise campaigns

Making a pledge from your phone is easy with BetterWorld! After your pledge, you will receive an automatic email with a link to the check-out page where you can easily fulfill your pledge. Check out the video tutorial below!


Or you can follow this walkthrough on Paddle Raise campaigns:

1. Navigate to the campaign using the link or QR code provided to you.

2. The organization has pre-set pledge amounts. Choose from any of the suggested tiers, or click the "Or enter custom amount" to enter your preferred pledge amount. The, click Pledge.

3. A pop-up will appear to confirm your pledge once more. Click Confirm pledge to finalize.


Optional: You can choose to make an anonymous pledge by checking the Give anonymously option. This will ensure your name is not displayed to the public, although the organization will still know you are the donor of your pledge.

​Please Note: You will not be charged at this time. All funds are collected at the end of the event.

Tip: Some organizations will display the campaign's progress. The 3 most recent pledge amounts will display here.

4. After you make a pledge, you will be sent an automatic email from BetterWorld with a link to complete your payment. When you are ready to pay, open the email and click Go to checkout.

Tip: If you have made multiple pledges, they will all be listed as one transaction like the example below.

5. View your donation summary and opt whether you'd like to cover any optional fees.

6. Choose to pay with a card saved to your BetterWorld account, or choose Add a new payment method to enter a different card, pay with Google or Apple Pay or link your bank account. Click Donate now to finalize your payment.

10. You will receive an email confirming your payment was successful with your receipt attached. The organization's EIN will be at the bottom.
