Setting an overall ticket limit could be useful if you're managing ticket sales for an event with limited availability, and you would like to ensure that the total number of tickets sold does not exceed the venue's capacity. Having a overall ticket limit will allow you the flexibility in selling any combination of ticket types, such as VIP, General Admission, Early Bird, etc. and once this limit is reached tickets to the event will be marked as sold out (shown below).

Steps to Set a Total Ticket Quantity Limit:

  1. Navigate to the General Settings of your ticketed event.

  2. Locate Event Details: Scroll down to the section labeled "Event details."

  3. Set Total Tickets Available: Within this section, you'll find a box labeled "Total tickets available." Enter the maximum number of tickets you want to sell

  4. Save Your Settings

Once you've set this limit, the system will automatically track the total number of tickets sold, regardless of the type, and mark the event as sold out once the quantity you set is reached.
