This article will guide you through making a donation using an ACH payment!
Please note: ACH (bank payments) is available only for nonprofits that have been verified and enabled ACH in their account settings. This means it may not appear as a payment option. If you’re interested in donating using ACH but don’t see it available, we recommend reaching out to the organization directly to ask if it can be enabled.
1. After choosing your donation amount. You will be prompted to enter your credit card information. You can use ACH by clicking Bank account.
2. Now you'll be prompted to fill in the necessary information. After you have entered this information, search and select the bank account you'd like to link.
3. A notice will pop-up that BetterWorld uses Stripe to handle payments across our platform. Stripe is a payments company that handles transactions for some of the largest companies on the web, such as Lyft, Shopify, and Zoom. They are a PCI Level 1 Provider, and are equally committed to data security and the protection of donor information. For more information, here is Stripe’s about page. Click Agree and continue, to move forward with the ACH payment.
4. Log into your banking institution using your username and password. Next, select the bank account you would like to use for this donation. Click Connect account.
6. You will receive a notification that your account was successfully connected. Click Back to BetterWorld, to finish checking out.
7. Now you will return to the checkout page in BetterWorld. Finish up by entering your name and address. Then click the Donate button to finalize your donation! You will get a confirmation that your donation was processed and a receipt sent to your email.
