When setting up an Impact Giving Campaign, you can create two types of custom questions to gather essential information: per-item and per-purchase questions.

1. Click Donation Campaigns, then Manage on your Impact Giving Campaign.

2. Click Settings in the left sidebar menu, then Custom Questions along the top bar.

3. Next, click Create a form.

4. Select the type of input you'd like for your custom question.

5. A pop-up will appear asking you to label/name your question and choose whether or not this question is required to be answered before your donors check out. Click Create.

6. You will now be prompted to provide additional information for this question, such as instructions, character limit, etc.
When you are finished, click Save.

7. Now the donor will see your additional questions one time, right before they finalize their purchase:

These types of questions are ideal for collecting details specific to each item, such as shirt sizes, ensuring you have all the information you need. These questions can also be marked as required or optional to answer!

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to add these questions in the dashboard:

1. Click Donation Campaigns, then Manage on your Impact Giving Campaign.

2. Click Impact items in the left sidebar menu.

3. Click on the item you'd like to add the custom question to.

4. Click Custom Questions along the top bar.

5. Next, click Create a form.

6. Select the type of input you'd like for your custom question.

7. A pop-up will appear asking you to label/name your question and choose whether or not this question is required to be answered before your donors check out. Click Create.

8. You will now be prompted to provide additional information for this question, such as instructions, character limit, options etc.
When you are finished, click Save.

9. Now, donors will answer your custom questions for each item in their checkout. If they purchase multiple quantities of the same item, they’ll be prompted to answer the question for each one.
