If a donor would like to donate to a crowdfunding campaign but not have their name posted on the list of "Recent Supporters", they just need to select the checkbox next to This is a private donation on the checkout page:

Clicking that box ensures their name and message to the organization remain private, hidden from the campaign page, and visible only to the organization!
