BetterWorld will only charge one winner (the highest bidder) per item. There is no way to charge any of the runner-ups for a bid if it was not the winning bid. One option would be to list multiple of the same item for people to bid on during your auction. You have the option to 'copy' items that will have multiple winners ahead of time, and bidders can bid on each of the items separately. There is a 'Copy item' feature in the dashboard you can use for this. We understand this may not be ideal for your auction, that being said, there is a workaround for how you can have multiple winners for a single item.

Step 1 - Personally notify the additional winners

To find and notify the additional winners, first head to your Auction dashboard > 'Manage' > you will then click the item that has multiple winners and click 'Activity' found at the top of your page. You will see the bidding activity and the next highest bidders here. Click on their names to find their email addresses.

Once you have the additional winner's email addresses you will manually send them an email letting them know they won, how to receive their item/experience, and explaining how they can pay for their item.

Step 2 - Ways they can pay for their winning bid

Standard Donation

You can ask them to make a standard donation for the amount they bid by sending them the link to your donation campaign and asking them to select 'Other' and they can make a payment equal to their highest bid.

Copy the Item

If the winner would like to receive an invoice of the item, the option here would be to copy the item from your auction dashboard and ask them to place a bid on the copied item before closing the auction. Then you can proceed with charging them for the item as you would charge the other winning bidders. Here is how to do this.

From your dashboard, click your auction > manage > items. In the top right, click 'copy item'. Select your auction and the item you want to copy from the drop-down menus.

Now, a second identical item will appear. You can send this item's URL to the second highest bidder before closing the auction, and they can place a bid on this item equal to their highest bid from the original item.

Or, you could 'copy' the items ahead of time, but keep the items unpublished/hidden from the auction until the auction ends, then open them up for the runner-ups of the single item to place a bid on this item equal to their highest bid from the original item.
