How to Ask Your Guests for Their Meal Choice

Add a Custom Question to Your Event Tickets to Ask Ticket Holders About Their Meal Preferences!

Here's how you can add a custom question to your event tickets so you can ask your guests for their meal choice:

  1. Navigate to your dashboard, and click Ticketed Events in the menu on your left. Then, click Manage on your event.

  2. Now head to the Tickets tab on the left-hand menu.

  3. Select the ticket you wish to add a custom questions to by clicking on the pencil icon to edit.

  4. Then, select Custom Questions at the top of the page.

  5. For meal choices, we recommend you select Radio buttons so only one answer can be selected at a time. Select the type of input you'd like for your custom question. A pop-up will appear asking you to label/name your question and choose whether or not this question is required to answer before your donors checkout.

    Please note: If you mark the question as required, if a ticket purchaser is buying tickets for multiple guests, they will be required to select a meal choice for their guest, even if they are not sure at the time of purchase. However, these answers can be edited later on.

  6. Now you will be prompted to fill in additional information for this question, such as instructions and/or meal choice options. To add a meal choice click Add option at the bottom.

  7. A pop-up will appear for you to name your option, enter the meal choice name here.

  8. After successfully adding the option, you will see it appear under the Add option button. When you are finished adding all the options for meal choices, click Save.

  9. Now, your meal choice question will appear on the checkout screen for each ticket that is purchased!
